The VIN you provided was MALA8516LEM139651.

If I change one character (C instead of 6), it pulls up the data perfectly well. Here are the details for MALA851CLEM139651:

I tried using the Hyundai tool , checking out the link you had posted a couple of pages earlier. However, I was unable to extract the details even after the registration.

I believe you tried to access the details by typing in the VIN from the main page. This doesn't work unfortunately. You'll have to click on the link called Parts Catalog on the left menu, which will open a new tab in your browser. You can type in the VIN here, and click on the search (magnifying glass) button next to it. It will present the pictorial representation of the parts. To get the details of your VIN, you will have to click the small i button (one among the many such small buttons) on the right side of the page. Hope this helps.

The manufacturing month and date cannot be obtained with a single glance at this 17-character VIN.

I followed Wildon's guide to decode Brio AT's VIN, but I am still having a little trouble.

VIN = MAKDD183HENxxxxxx

MAK=Honda
DD1 = 1.2l iVTEC AT or MT?
8 = ?
3 = Grade?
HE= Aug 2014
N = Noida

I am just uncertain about the 'DD1' and '8'. Would really appreciate the help.

Update: Found this site http://www.myvehicledetails.com to decode the VIN.

The site confirmed that the VIN represents a 4-door Wagon, Automatic.
