I opened the bonnet today and the last two alphabets are GF. So that means manufactured in July 2015.

The VIN provided is 17 characters and Maruti Suzuki's VIN is of 21 characters. Please check the previous post for details to locate the VIN. The last two characters ( 20 & 21 ) of the VIN represents the month and year respectively.

No sir. It is 21 characters only. Check the picture (engine bay) in my previous post where I have put the location for VIN.

Check that area to get the full VIN.

Yes, it's been pointed out. The first three characters of VW VIN been changed from WVW to MEX.

Congrats ! It's July 2015 model. The fourth character 'G' represents the July month. The fifth and sixth character represents the production year and in your case, it's 15 which stands for 2015. The tenth character 'F' represents that it's a 2015 model.

Thanks mate!

This query was for a friend who, sadly, has not been able to become a member of team-bhp yet.
