Thanks for all the Gurus for providing the step by step guide to decode Vin , Got the VIN no for my Red Polo GT TSI - MEXL15600GT052162, I could decode it to Dec 2015 and Model year 2016. is there any more info i can get out by visiting any site . The site http://igorweb.org/vindec/default.aspx provided on the first page throws of error for finding VIN by stating "Unfortunately, the entered VIN cannot be decoded."

Thanks Grand Drive. my mistake of Copy Paste the VIN is MEXM15601GT53485 , i had decoded earlier that Char M stands for Dec , and the rest are as you have correctly mentioned . But probably while formatting it in notepad and copy pasting it here some characters got changed , apologies from my side.
