MA3EHKD1SOOA07113LF is the VIN I received from Varun Motors , Vizag, for my dad's new Swift ZXI. They told me that its a 2015, December make. By the letter M and F I assume it is correct? Please let me know if I'm wrong. By the way they are offering a 35K discount as it is a 2015 make.

WVWL15167GA550455. This is the VIN for the Jetta I am looking at.
Can someone help please?

CRETA VIN : MALC381ULGM087209. Could some one help please? as I see only 17 characters wherein its supposed to be 19 as per the decoding.

You're reading out the 17 digit VIN posted on the window sticker. The correct VIN (19 digits) is stamped below the front drivers seat. Post it here and we'll help you decode it.

got it. its suffixed with *C, so march-2016. Thanks.

I have a serious issue which needs clarification. I just purchased a All new Cruze 2016 on March 23rd 2016. The VIN given was MA6FJDADGFH000186. I did not check the VIN against manufactured date prior to taking delivery. stupid: On a whim I checked the manufactured date against VIN last week and it shows as JAN 2015. To be doubly sure, I mailed GM and even talked to their marketing office without any clarity. How can All new Cruze 2016 be manufactured on Jan 2015? To add to the confusion, there is a new manufactured Month and year on the name plate AG - which is JAN 2016.

Nothing to worry Neil Roy, as per the VIN it is a JAN 2016 manufactured Cruze. The 9th character stands for the year of manufacture, 9th character in your VIN is G (G = 2016).

Thanks a Ton. I read in our forum that the 10th digit for Chevrolet was the year of manufacture. Below is the link

That's the reason for the confusion. Anyways your post has put my mind at peace. Thanks once again :thumbs up

I am in process of buying a Honda Jazz V MT Petrol.
I decoded the Chassis number, and discovered the 9th and 10th characters were "AG" meaning it's a January 2016 manufactured vehicle.

My question: Does the recent budget increase in car prices apply to my vehicle?

The VIN pattern of Chevrolet cars were changed from Feb 2011, earlier, the 10th character denoted the year of manufacture, from Feb 2011 onwards, the 9th character denotes the year of manufacture and 10th character denotes the model year of the vehicle.

Can anybody help me decode this VIN? What all information can this give me apart from the month and year of manufacture?
