Hey Wildon!

How did you decode a 17 digit Creta VIN without the last two characters (* and an alphabet)?!

Could you please do this as well: MALC381UMHM247820
This was provided by my sales guy when I insisted on the Creta which he has in stock and is ready to allot to me on immediate full payment!

Thanks in advance!

Hey Wildon,
How could you decode a 17 digit VIN? I am facing a similar problem. I just booked a grand i10. The dealer has just given me a 17 digit VIN number. Could you please help me decode my VIN? It'll be of great help. All i can get that it is a 2017 model, using the available websites / techniques.

It is: MALA851CLHM642864

Thank you so much in advance,

Cheers.

My brio VX MT has just come to the Stockland and here are the details.

VIN :-MAKDD175BHN400886
ENGINE :- L12B35006622

I was promised a car manufactured at least in March. After decoding the month of manufacturing seems to be February. Should that be a cause of concern?

It is a Feb 2017 manufactured car. I'll say try and get a recent one.

If you are getting it, squeeze more discounts and do a thorough check plus get the fluids changed to fresh before buying it. Also look at the rubber parts too.

Okay. They don't have another such car in stock and I'll have to wait for another fortnight for a new one. I think I'll go for it if they give me a reasonable discount. But which rubber parts other than the tyres should I check?

Rubber beading on the door, wipers are a few. Tyres are important and check the MFD of the tyres too.

I checked the car out today. The rubber beading on the door seems quite soft. The tyres seem okay. They're JK Vectra though. Manufactured on the 8th week of this year (February). The fluids seemed fine but I've heard that manufacturers have special additives in the engine oil and other such fluids on a new car which helps in the run in period of the engine. Should I still change all fluids? As you can tell I'm a novice.

Need help with the following VIN for Ford ecosport.
MAJAXXMRKAHB50355.
I decoded it as May, 2017. Is that correct? Also can I get any more information from the VIN?

Re: ARTICLE: Find your car's date of manufacture (VIN)

Folks who are buying Hyundai cars, here's an easy way to decode your 17 digit VIN. Go to https://service.hyundai-motor.com:444/euro5/login.tiles and create a login using any of your email ID. After verifying your email, log in to the portal and you'll see a VIN search option on top. Enter the 17 digit VIN and a pop up window will open with tons of details, including the date of manufacture and delivery.

I have created a login already, let me know if you need me to decode the VIN.

Actually, I already checked those when I posted the link and it showed the vehicles had been delivered so I assumed they didn't need the details anymore. Right now there seems to be a problem with the site so can't login. If I remember correctly, the manufacturing date for the Grand I10 was 20.04.2017.
