Anurag, I am astonished by your ability to decipher the production date and engine number from VIN. Do you have any other tools at your disposal? Or is this information encoded in VIN by Kia? Thanks in advance.

Just feeding the given VIN into the website and I get all the data. Here is the LINK where I check to get the data for Hyundai/Kia cars.

Hello Team,
Recently a family member booked a BMW X1. We asked them fro the VIN number of the car to verify the date of manufacture.

The VIN : WBAHU3704K5E64333

The problem is that the VIN number shows production date of November 2018. On informing Bavaria Motors, Pune, they showed me on the their system that the production date is February of 2019. But, the tires (45 week 2018) also shows that the car is produced in 2018, right?

Is there an official way to decode the VIN as Bavaria says "November, 2018 is not legit."
