I am very curious to know how do you get the date of manufacture for every model?

From the VIN of my car I know that it is Apr'12 manufactured, but I am curious to know the exact date.

Thanks Sir. I think the month of manufacture would be Apr. instead of May.

In the RC it will be mentioned as April 2012 and actual production date is 12th May 2012.

My FIL has booked an Eon. The dealer has allotted him the vehicle with VIN number MALA351ALCMO94276. Its a 2012 mfgr. (could decode that with 10th character), however t=its only 17 characters. Could you tell me the month of manufacture. Thanks
The dealer says he's certain that VIN has 17 characters only.

Not sure if I am the first person to enquire about a Renault Duster. I had checked the first pages on this thread and did not find a chart for Renault to do it myself and searched the last 5 pages to see if anyone asked about Renault vehicles.

Could you please help me with this VIN for Renault Duster. MEEHSRA36C7002153.

I referred the Nissan chart and could figure out C stands for 2012 and 7 for July as far as year of manufacturing is concerned but not sure.

As you rightly said there is only one VIN we have received for Renault vehicle that too was for Pulse. No enough samples. But your finding are seems to be true. :thumbs up. Will update you once we get more samples.

Thank you Wildon, As suggested, I did a good PDI of he Car, looked like in perfect condition. Took the delivery got additional dealer discount of 15000/- apart from regular offers of the month.

I'm still confused about this statement. Why would Fiat brand a car as "DLZ" if it actually manufactured on 12/05/2012. Do you have any idea Sir, under what circumstances this can happen.
