I am able to make guess of first section which is Fiat India(MAH) + Palio(178) + GTX(636) . But clueless about next part.

I am also not sure how can I create a generic approach to identify all Palio models in India. Codes for Punto/Linea are already mentioned in this thread so less worried about that.

Thanks a lot wildon! Going by the codes given earlier, I thought its a june manufactured car. I have asked skoda dealer and skoda to try and allot me a sept or aug car if possible else I will do a thorough PDI and go for this one if everything is fine. Thanks again!

WBAVN37000VR50079 is the vin no given by the dealer for the BMW X1.

bmwvin.com says production date as 4th oct 2011 vehicle but the dealer says it is a jan 2012 model. They also insist it will be 2012 on the RC book.

Does this mean the production date shown on bmwvin.com shows the production date of Germany since these are CKD kits.

Also checked on vin-decoder.net and there it shows as 2012 model.

I checked the first page, according to it its Aug manufactured, however, last time also I thought its June but actually it was July. Decoding this will be of great help. Thanks again!

Don't know how they are arriving at Jan 2012 make. Please do check manufacturer declared documents.

Does the A.S.S tried a reset? by disconnecting the battery.

they dint really try i feel,but had the car with them for 2 full days sir, now they have replaced the air bag assy unit under warranty worth 25k.

On vin-decoder.net it is showing 2012 model and the dealer has also emailed mentioning the car is a 2012 model.
