Thanks a lot Wildon! This was of great help. I have done the PDI today and found everything appropriate except a couple of minor things, should be sorted out by the dealer before delivery.

One thing I noticed here with the two VINs alloted to me, the 6th digit represented a month earlier than the actual manufacturing month.

I went to the RTO earlier today to complete the registeration formalities. This is the VIN that was etched inside the bonnet. I hope this is it
