I could use the VIN calculator and ascertain that the year of manufacture is 2013 (Based on D as the 10th character). However, I am unable to identify the month as the VIN (as identified by the sticker on the car) is 17 characters long.

Ignore the previous VIN. The dealer VW PCR changed the VIN on the day of the delivery to WVWG13603DT073694

Happened to me as well. The VW car had a different vin altogether at the time of the delivery. Since the month was the same and paperwork matched I took the delivery. But was left dissatisfied with their response when asked for an explanation. They did not have any.

I have recently booked a tata. The dealer was not too keen on giving the VIN number but has confirmed that the car is a july 2013 model. He gave me the Chasis number and Engine number today.
However the details given by him has a 17 charachter alpha numerical code. Looks very similar to the described TATA VIN numbers in the very first page.

I am guessing it is a July 2013 Car?
