So that's put a whole lot of confusion to the equation.

I found a sticker in the boot that has the following chassis number

All Right. SA is not giving last two digits on phone. So need to go down there and personally find it.

But where do locate complete 19 Digit VIN for Maruti WagonR CNG? I beleive last two alphabet for Month and Year are engraved somewhere near bonet.

I also have Dec 2011 Wagon VXI , and could infer the date of manufacture from the VIN number during purchase.

IIRC, open the bonnet and look at left side, you will see the complete VIN and last two digits are preceded by $

recently I heard from a friend that his i20 Crdi had a 17 digit Vin and not 19!! The engine no was a 12 digit one!!

Are you aware of any such changes, if yes, could you please put up the new decoder ;-)
