Hi Wildon,

My brother received that car on last week. Vin number is same (TMBBLBNA9DG011668 ),but in the form 22 and the vehicle data sheet from the Skoda is showing its a July,2013 build unit.So he will get that entry in RC records too.

but sad part is, he booked and expected the new skoda rapid with new logo,cosmetic changes etc. But the dealer gave the old car.No latest skoda logo, no newly designed steering column,old gear lever etc.

. Its comes with a garmin navigation device and it stopped working from yesterday onwards.

While looking to buy an Automatic hatch, I got drifted into considering a Toyota Fortuner AT. Dealer has a vehicle ready that he could deliver it to me. Manufacturing date is June 2013. Needless to say we are in September 2013. Vehicle is around 3 months old from the date of manufacture. Is this ok? ODO shows 54Km driven. Please respond at the earliest since I need to take a call on buying that Fortuner. Thanks.

Last night I have logged into HVK forum on Face Book and I have seen a comment from someone saying that VIN decoding has been modified by the Government of India. Is it true that the new vehicles have a different type of VIN. For reference please see HVK Forum on Face Book. I am sorry I forgot the name of the person who posted it on the FB Forum, he doesn't like Team Bhp I feel. I wanted to give him
