Had a question. Is there any form/data that I can ask the dealer for that indicates when a car was received at the dealership from the factory? I am in a situation where I may need to drill down one step more from the Month of manufacture and try to identify when it was received at the dealer. Is it possible?

Yes it is possible. You need to ask the dealer to give you a copy of the manufacturer's invoice. That will show you the date the car was invoiced to him. You can safely add a week or so as transit time for the car to reach the dealer's stockyard from the factory depending on the distance between the two. E.g the transit time between gurgaon and Mumbai is about a week.

Yes. Ask for form 21 and 22.

An additional question. As per the VIN decoding, the 10 char is supposed to be the Model year, as per the above it is 'E' which translates to Model year as 2014. Kind of surprised to see the model year as 2014 in a Oct Manufactured car. Is that normal? (Not that I am complaining about it)

Sorry but no other details have been shared with me. Is the dealer not transparent with me or what?

I spoke with him just now and he reconfirmed that nothing beyond this is available. He offered me a visit to the stockyard for reconfirming any additional details.
