I opened the bonnet today and the last two alphabets are GF. So that means manufactured in July 2015.

Hi widon can you please decode this VIN. MA3ETDE1S00225848. Apparently maruthi these days come with 15 characters not 21.

The VIN provided is 17 characters and Maruti Suzuki's VIN is of 21 characters. Please check the previous post for details to locate the VIN. The last two characters ( 20 & 21 ) of the VIN represents the month and year respectively.

I'm sorry, yes it is 17 characters. Typo. I checked with maruthi and the VIN comes with 17 characters not 21.

No sir. It is 21 characters only. Check the picture (engine bay) in my previous post where I have put the location for VIN.

Check that area to get the full VIN.

I just saw the VIN of my yet-to-be-delivered Vento, the VW India manufacturer code has now changed to MEX, also see https://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Vehicl...dentifier_(WMI)

T - Plant code?? Taubaté, Brazil??

I cant figure out what these are?

It is a July 2015 make Nano.

(Year) 10th Character : F - 2015

It's a VW Vento 1.6 Highline, the 2015 facelift.

Can someone please help decode the VIN?
