Thanks to this forum. I was able to find the Build Date of my Ford Ecosport. The link to be used is https://www.etis.ford.com/vehicleRegSelector.do which has been mentioned above already.

Re: ARTICLE: Find your car's date of manufacture (VIN)

Hi Grand Drive,

For VW Polo is there any way to distinguish a 1.2 NA Petrol from a 1.2 TSI ?

I ran a PDI on my car at dealer yard and everything looks good.

VIN is
MEXK15602GTXXXXXX

MEX - VW India
K - October
15 - 2015
602 - What is this ? (Is 6 the check digit?)
G - Model year 2016
T - What is this ?

The VIN provided is incomplete and Maruti Suzuki's VIN will have 21 characters.

As per the Opening Post, Nissan has a VIN of 17 characters whereas you have given 16 only. So recheck and post.

But partly decoded, the 10th character which is the year is 2015 = F. Month code isn't clear as 'O' and '0' aren't used for the same confusion.

Thanks Anurag. Even I figured out that one character is missing. Also the confusion about the "O" and "0" is valid. I will clarify with the dealer and repost so that month of manufacture can be confirmed. I am worried about the month since Terrano doesn't sell in big numbers.

Re: ARTICLE: Find your car's date of manufacture (VIN)

Just got the revised VIN number from the dealer. It is MDHHSNA36F7013637.

As per the opening post it turns out to be July 2015 manufactured car.

F= 2015
7 = July

Hope I have interpreted correctly. Request the experts to validate. Also is there a way to get some more information based on the VIN number

Should I be worried that it's 3 month old car? All depends on the ODO reading I guess plus how it fares on other TBHP PDI checklist items.

However what is getting me worried is the data thrown in by one of the online vin decoders >> http://www.vindecoderz.com/EN/check-...HSNA36F7013637
It is showing approx mileage of the car as 8310 Km!! Can someone please help me understand what this actually means?
