It's the same thing. 1.0 T-GDI engine belongs to Kappa series only.

It is mandatory to check the VIN for manufacturing details. I had cancelled as Ecosport after the dealer tried to cheat by saying the car manufactured after the wheel size reduced. The dealer went to the extent to change the wheels with another lower variant to prove that the car has been manufactured after the wheel size reduction. The VIN helped me to identify the cheating.

Really? That's almost Skoda-level trickery

It would be better if you could detail this entire episode and mention dealer details in a new thread so that this malpractice can be brought to Ford's notice. Also, other members and readers dealing with that dealership will be warned beforehand.

Unfortunately it happened to me before 2 years(when I was not a member) and I do not have the details collected. The dealer is Elite Ford Mahadevapura/Bangalore.

The cheating was done known at all levels, as the manager told me that the sales team changed the wheels as I requested for smaller wheels(I asked for newly manufactured cars with smaller wheels after Ford changed the wheel size)
