Hi! You dont really need that much for a good setup.
I like Alpine, they're good HUs.
The front will accomodate 6" component speakers. Buy good components from specialized manufacturers. People here like Infinity, Alpine, JBL. Hertz etc
For example a JBL 606Ce will cost you 6000/- for the set. Infinity will cost you about 9000/-
For the rear, to put components is a waste. Just a decent set of co-axials will do. You will get good ones for 4000 to 6000/-
You could put in 2 amplifiers, a 4 channel and a monoblock amp for the Sub. Since you have the budget, buy good amplifiers. You can get a good quality 4 channel amplifier for about 13000/- and another 13000/- will get you a very nice mono sub amp. Now for the sub. You can either put in a tube or a boxed subwoofer. Tubes are available from JBL (Extremely popular) Infinity (a little expensive) and Blaupunkt. Alternatively you could buy a pre boxed subwoofer, or if you're adventurous, buy a woofer and get a box made.
But make sure you get the box made from the right installer, because the box is 50% of the woofers sound.
Keep about 5000 bucks aside for cabling and you will have a really fine sounding system and money left over too!

wow driven!

Just to confuse you further....

i have head of hertz so i cannot comment on them. One day soon they will come to Mumbai. all i can say is I respect JB enough to wait to hear them before buying my 8" subs. The good Mid-Fi brands in hyour budget are Infinity and Boston.

You can find Focal too but last time I checked the tweeter surrond was foam and deteriorated fast. The new Focal might have solved that issue.

HU Budget 25K
HU: Alpine 9855 or Clarion 855 or the new Eclipse 5000

Amps: Budget 20K
Amp: Alpine 450/250 or 350/240 combo or audiobahn 4002V/4004V combo or a single 5001T

main speakers: budget 25K
Front Speakers: Infinity Kappa 60.7 or Boston SX60
Rear Speakers: Infinty Kappa 62.7 or Boston SX 65

subwoofer budget 20K with box
12" Subwoofer: Alpine Type R, Audiobahn AW1200, Boston and Infinity
build your own sealed box

Cables and Install 15K
Cables: 4 guage wiring kit for the amp 5K, speaker wire 5K, Install: 5K.

105K I think.

now there are many more options and if you are spending this much I believe you should investigate all you can.

Hi,

I would recommend the following setup. I have used these products in my Getz and they sound amazing.

Alpine HU -Rs11000-15000,
Kicker Components ES 6.5x2 =Rs7100x2 = Rs14200
Soundstream 4 ch. amp:(4.260) Rs12800
Amp Mono:MTX 251 D:Rs19000
Soundstream EG12x -Rs6500 or Kicker L5 -Rs20800
Wiring -Rs5500
Woofer Box- Rs2000-4000
Fitting - Rs 5000/-(depending on type of install)

Total system cost approx - Rs71000 or Rs96300/- There are many more options you can choose from.

I would recommend get it installed by Car Touch at Shivaji Park or Milan Subway. They are the dealers for Soundstream,Kicker, Focal,MTX, JBL etc and do a superb install. You must hear their demo Santro which has been featured in Top Gear magazine as well as Bombay Times(times drive supplement).

Hey Bhagwan...

Since you are spending a decent packet, let me ask you this...

a. What kind of sound do you like. (Loud/Bassy/Deep/Tight/Soft)
b. What music do you listen to most. (Name a couple of Albums)
c. How much/long do you drive on average each day
d. How practical/or not do you want the system to be (do you want to retain boot space etc etc)
e. Do you drive yourself (or are you driven around)

Your answers to these questions will give us a clearer picture of what would work well for you. And our subsequent suggestions will be more relevant, less confusing.

Cheers...

Steeroid, at this level all you need to do to hit 200K is move one model up for each component. Prices at these levels double between consective model numbers. the Alpine 9860 for example will cost almost twice as much as the 9855.
