Mclaren, just re-read this thread. I'd say that try the single 10". see if JB can loan you a 2nd 10" and try 2 x 10". and only if neither of these satisfy your bass needs look at a 15". 2 x 10" move about teh same ammount fo air as a 1 x 15" if they have the same Xmax.

15" advantage:
Lower Fs - given the right box you can get some thunderous lows

2x10" advantage:
Lower Mms and usually higher BL/Mms ratio: This tranlates to a bass that while not as low as a 15" can provide a lot of "kick".

it like comparing a kettle-drum to a kick-drum. the 15" will really make a difference if you listen ot organ music while the 2 x10 might be prefered if you stick to rock-pop and jazz.

Ok here is what i have decided ..

1. Hertz 6.5'' compos for the front .. Buying them shortly ...
2. Hertz 5.25'' compos for the rear on the parcel tray .. Using the existing ones from the zen ..
4. 2 10'' subs from hertz , buying one shortly apart from the one that i already had on the zen .. These will be on the parcel tray too ..
5. Alpine MRV-F450 amplifier ..
6. Audison cables and wiring - planning to buy them shortly ...

So guys what do u think ... The setup should be done maybe in the next day or two perhaps if venu has the stock of all the stuff i need that is ... Vivek , so u free by any chance .. Its time for some DIY ..

Hello Friends. My name is Sam.

I want to know if that short little boy from bangalore is going to put flickering Disco lights in his new car.

No NO ajmat, for sure he used to have flashing disco lights under the zen.
In fact look at the choice of name of this thread:"It's time to ICE my baleno". Isn't it similar to that well-loved classic family song "It's the time to disco" (Sing to the tune... It's the time to ICEmybaleno)
This choice shows a latent desire to be associated with all things discoic.

I promise you, Disco Stuart will be back in Bangalore. And driving safely, we hope. Not like disco deewane.

In closing i will add - for my pint sized ICE fanatic these classic words
Samjho zara tum isko, it's the time to disco.

i dont think ajmat saw the disco 82 in its prime form .. I still remember sam dancing with joy like a small babbling baby at vahaan yatra after seeing the strobes and the neons on the zen ... So sammy u think i should put them on the baleno too ??? Bcoz i have them lying idle at home .. What say ??

there are 6.5 inch components in the front and 5.25 in the rear.so that wont be a problem.it will be a perfect front sound stage.

If one has disco lights in the car, is it called a 'glow job'?
