Sorry for confusing. I meant the label hasn't moved. But seriously you can hear the cd spinning sound (very very soft sound ) when you keep your ears near the HU while it's muted. Havent checked it other cars. Anyways I'm taking it to A.S.S. Hope its covered in the extended warranty.

A.S.S don't entertain HU repair. Get it repaired outside.

I've read your thread earlier. That's a great DIY and you were so lucky to get that cable from that shop! I too tried to source it from eBay, but no one ships to India.

I'm taking it to an accessory shop when i get time and hope to get it repaired.
Do I need the code card after repairing.I have to contact FASS to get my Code card for the stereo. I've lost it.

Cable I used is custom made (DIY) you can get it done from accessories shop.

For the radio code there is (or was??? I'm not sure) an android application. With your HU serial number you can get the Radio code. Let me check to find the name of application.

Had the similar event on my 2015 EVO, I plug in the USB nothing happens. SRC doesnt pick it up as well. But the Autoplay and Media Player option did it. All is well now!
