Sony XM-2200GTX Car Amplifier - Any reviews?

has anybody used Sony XM-2200GTX car amplifier? any suggestions on performance?

200W at 4ohms = 28A
250W at 2 ohms = 22A
Not a bad amp. Dont know how it sounds but for driving a 10" or 12" sub it can work. What is the Street price?

$ 179 + shipping on crutchfield....may be cheaper at ebay. read some reviews....people say it overheats and some other probs as well.

If it has problems why bother. there are plently amps that dont have problems.

At much lower price than $179,u can buy better or i should say more reputed amp from crutchfield to drive subw.

I'm not sure how it will test. panky and gunbr could be right but I reserve judgement unless
a) I have experince with the brand or the model.
b) Opinion from the few people I trust explictly. These include 2 friends in mumbai and a few more in EU, Sing, and US.
