This owner of the car is a super rich guy. I can't mention here the list of cars he owns else there would have been a pile of fainted T-Bhpians. For him cars like SL55 does not mean much.

At the end of the day if you have too much stuff lying with you, you tend to overlook value of each one of them. Thats why things like this happen to these beautiful machines (though very rare).

I know how it feels, I have seen this in person, one of my all time fav. car ruined by a moron

can he get a new glove box door? I would think he woud want to fix this and shoot the installer.

i dont think anyone would be happy if this was the condition of one of his/hers cars. never mind if he/she has a garage full of Ferraris, Lambos, Mercs and Beemers.

If Rudraji ever sees this install he'll cry.

No no no. The Arnage wasnt done by the same guy. It was done by somebody in Delhi. The install was simple enough and installed properly in the stock location. It was just the choice of equipment that was appaling. Given it was the most expensive mainstream HU from the Pioneer lineup... but still... Pioneer!!! in an Arnage. Just imagine the luxurious soft, creamy leather and contrasting real hand made wood panels... and now imagine a silver HU and CD changer in that luxe interior. Yuck!!

In Arnage the stock Grundig unit was replaced by the Pioneer 8650 HU and the installation of CD Changer in the boot was quite out of place. Imagine a silver CD Changer hanging on the parcel tray of the Arnage just above the amazing umbrellas.

Arnage comes with Alpine Navigation System. Any intelligent installer would have used an Alpine HU and would have integrated with the existing Alpine DVD Changer. But .....

True kb, plus the trouble usually is that sometimes, even if you have the money and the class, you don't know who to approach to have your needs addressed perfectly. Which is why I decided to install the car audio setup in my M800 myself in 1992, after getting the most unconvincing replies to my queries about choosing equipment, installation etc. from some very unscrupulous local dealers.
