Rudra and I have shared many fun emotions, appreciated dancing albeit neither of us did dance, thank the lord for that (we watched a very beautiful and talented lady perform instead and if she's reading, I'm waving out to her) ..
I think he drowned.....and she seems to run away each weekend, something brewing ?

Rudra Ji,

Nice to know that you system is fixed and no more dimming lights. You don't need the capacitor.

Dump the capacitor and invest your money in upgrading to something better like going for SQ subwoofer rather than the boom tube.

Poor Rudra. He spend a lot of time writing this wonderful post about being content with what you have, and then the Audio guru's tell him this again!

No wonder he goes through so much scotch!

Why do you think he turned to Scotch? The pleasure of melting ICE!

haha, this thread should be voted one of the best thread around. I told Rudra to check his wires and maybe redo teh whole wiring and he was like, What do you mean ! hehe. And next in my list was to try a new amp. Not bad of me eh. Thanks to TBHP gurus here who helped me develop my ICE knowledge.

I would be more happier if I could teach the installers here abt these stuff.

@steer; tht line was nice. cheers!

If these are the ones, I've seen them and they dont look fake to me.... I dont think audiobahn has them on the 2006 website though.
Guys guys. I sure am hoping I am wrong about the caps being fake, atleast for the sake of Rudra's peace of mind. But can't help the underlying feeling!

In any case, as Kureti rightly pointed out, even if it's a fake and has 50% sand stuffed into it, at about 0.5F it should well suffice for the system in concern.

Deepak wouldn't sell anything that's fake. The only catch however is whether Deepak also knows for sure whether it's genuine or not. In fact, he had asked me.

Bass&Trouble, here's the fact.

I've not paid for that cap. It came in my car through Sam's contact (Sound Factor). Idea was to check out that light blinking problem.

I'm giving that cap back to the shop and they called me for that also. Sam told them about it. So there's no real issue here.

For my kind of music it's sounding good now but as I said before..sky is the limit. I need to see if I'm ready for that in the future.

Completely agree with Autophile....The amount of watts the two amplifiers are producing doesn't warrant a capacitor as they are not going to need that extra burst of current.

Good, that its not going to be a part of your stereo anymore.

Before I start getting stones from all corners...let me announce....cap is going back.

Please have heart. This thread was started by somebody who has no knowledge about the subject.

Hey Rudra, not really surprised to see you here. I've been in your car, have listened to your music and I know you paid exactly for what you wanted (as per your taste).

It's your music that should be the deciding factor, as to how far you should be going with your ICE.

As for me, 4 x 50W speakers, one Alpine cassette player and a list of AC/DC songs. I couldn't ask for more.

It's simple, it's raw and i love it!!!
