There are descriptive pictures towards the bottom of the page.

Will be buying a few more of this soon.

One more that I might be picking up is:

http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Full-...224124791.html

This is an Android powered one.

Have you installed the dashcam? How's the recording quality? A video would be helpful, if you have saved any :)

Going through Aliexpress I also came upon this http://www.aliexpress.com/item/New-7...208.3.2.V5Ichw

Has anyone used this? It's supposed to run IGO software

Cheers !

I too got the Blaupunkt last week. While I am happy with what it provides, I noticed that when in use it totally cuts off FM reception. Also, I have to be really near the front door to lock/unlock the car from the key buttons. Key lock/unlock doesnt work even if I am near the rear of my car if my Blaupunkt is on. Do you guys have a similar experience?

I tested the Blaupunkt. There is no such issue like yours. The FM reception is perfect, no issues with central locking either.

I did a comparative study between Transcend Drivepro220 and Blaupunkt. Due to network issues, I'm unable to load videos but am attaching snapshots. I must say, Transcend wins hands down. Thankfully I had ordered only 2 Blaupunkt's which later can be used in rear once I get another Drivepro220. Transcend is the best although costly. The Blaupunkt is not that clear especially in reading vehicle numbers.

Transcend's pros & cons-
+ Clarity
+ Good wide angle coverage
+ Consumes lesser space for even FHD videos when compared to Blaupunkt.
+ Ability to take snapshots while recording videos.
+ GPS/ Forward collision warning/ Lane departure warning/ Speed alarm
+Better suction cup.

- Cannot switch off display while on move
- No battery, works on capacitor(Drivepro200 has a battery) but this is not a big issue.

Blaupunkt's pros & cons-
+ Can switch off display

- Clarity/ Angle coverage
- Basically most of pros of Transcend.

I will upload videos when I can. 1st image is Blaupunkt's FHD recording, 2nd from its 720p recording and 3rd from Transcend's FHD.

Hope this helps.

Disclaimer:- I'm in no way related to Transcend or Blaupunkt in any way. :D

I noticed one more thing. The FM reception interference is only when it is plugged on 12V socket not otherwise.

Hi BoneCollector , thanks for the comparison. On the Blaupunkt do we have any sort of focus option? Also how is the 1080p recording.

I will try to upload videos today, taken from Transcend as well as Blaupunkt. Hopefully that will answer your query.

I use a separate 12V socket installed inside my glovebox. No issues with it. You can find the details in this post.

Another thing I noticed regarding Blaupunkt is that the suction cup has a larger area still it fits the edge of IRVM. Many people had complaint that it was falling off when stuck on windscreen. I had it stuck on my IRVM for 3 days, it did not come off. I think its more to do with the curved surface of windscreen and larger surface area of suction cup leading to loosening.

What type of battery does the Blaupunkt DVR has? Is it a mobile li-ion? How long did the battery lasted for your usage? Thanks for reading :)

Sorry, I have DP200, and it has capacitor not battery. It is in fact better since there is no chance of battery heating up. Also in another thread I mentioned that the clock does not reset even after one week of being kept off.

Sorry. My bad. Human error. :)

Blaupunkt has a 300mA battery, not sure about the type. Someone has already posted its details a few pages back. I have not checked regarding how much time it works on battery.

Anybody has info on the K1S dash cam availability and price in India.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lt7l...s_digest-vrecs

It is a dual cam with separate module and has pretty good when it comes to features.

It lasted close to 45 minutes for me on battery only mode.

There is a frequency setting in the Main Menu
Try playing with that and see if it helps
I am not sure what this frequency is used for

When you do decide on a camera try out something that has the Ambarella chipset, which is supposedly the best among the cheap ones available on aliexpress. http://www.aliexpress.com/item/G90-c...963735531.html

And so, the Blaupunkth has become 4300/- :(

@SunnyBoi, did you format the card before using? If so, what format did you use? I am unable to get my unit to read a similar 64GB card.:Frustrati

Thanks,
