Has anyone ordered DDPAI dashcams directly from ddpai store. I found the DDPAI MOLA N3 PRO DUAL DASHCAM on their site, and it looks like they ship to India.

Do they ship from outside India and I have to pay custom duty or do they maintain stock in India?

Guys,
I have a budget of around 15k (slightly stretchable).
I do tend to have a GoPro Hero 8Black but I wasn't sure if it will serve that purpose of automatically working as Dashcam for front.

Requirements:
-Front + Rear Recording 1080p.
-Good low-light visibility (preferably wider aperture).
-GPS
-Should not void warranty.

I dont think GoPro is designed for continuous recording.
Though the Image stabilization will be the best and will outbeat any other camera, it will overheat very fast.

Rather stick to a Dashcam as they are built for continuous loop recording. Plus GoPro does not support features like do not overwrite a recording if an Impact was detected etc.. because the application for which it was built is totally different.

Yeah, I'm hoping for some recommendations.

Don't know about that, but I bought mine from this link:

https://www.nexdigitron.com/products/n3-pro-gps

NexDigitron is their official distributor in India. And I got it cheaper than from Amazon or Flipkart. Hope it helps...

Well I have been having a Blaupunkt Dashcam for around almost 5+ yrs now.
(maybe the prev gen of this one)

This one Blaupunkt Dashcam

Nothing great to talk about w.r.t. the video, but it still works like a charm.

Lookout for Viofo. You can get A129 Duo after stretching your budget a little. Have been using their other models for quite some time. Reliable and does what they're supposed to do.

Hi,

I have Blackvue 750 2ch dash cam on the way by the month end. Am looking for good installers in Mumbai? Will be setting up the parking mode, which I think is plug and play. Any recommendations for Mumbai?

So after a bit of research I ordered Viofo A129 Pro Duo 4k.
Cost me 24k from Amazon India. Now wondering if its worth getting CPL for it.

CPL is worth every bit. Buy it if it is available

Is Viofo a129 pro duo better than blackvue 750? I thought blackvue use better sensors so even though they record lower res, quality is very good. I can still return blackvue.

How much did you pay for it? AFAIK, they don't even retail in India. After seeing the listed prices online, I'm assuming you must have paid a bomb for it.

You're comparing 4k with 1080p. Even with the best sensor for 1080p it cannot match 4k. It's upto you to return but on our laptops and mobile screens you won't notice much difference between these resolutions. The only way to notice difference is zooming in or watching on a larger screen, >50".

Dashcams are meant for evidence purpose during accidents. So even your Blackvue would be helpful but I don't think it's worth the money (from the listed prices I've seen online).

Regarding A129 Pro Duo, it's a 4k camera. Initially it had heating issues due to its resolution I don't know if they have fixed it in their new firmwares, but go for 2k. It'd more reliable than 4k one.

I paid ₹29k including a 32gb card. Viofo will cost the same here as ₹24k doesn’t include card.

:Shockked: 29k for 1080p. That's quite steep. Look for other models from Viofo. Recently, I got A229. Haven't installed it yet so can't comment, but I'd suggest you to refrain from 4k due to heating issues. If they have sorted that out then it's fine.

Memory card too which you'd install for 4k would have to be way higher than 32GB.

I have DDPAI Mini3 installed on the front.

I am planning to have a Dashcam at the rear as well. Following are my options:

1) Keep Mini3 at the front and get another Mini3 for the rear
2) Keep Mini3 at the front and get DDPAI Mini for the rear
3) Get DDPAI ZD40 GPS for the front and move Mini3 to the rear

What do you suggest? Any other option(s) should I explore?

Hi! Planning to install a wireless dashcam in my C200 Mercedes. Is there anything that is completely wireless (battery powered maybe)? Sound recording would be a bonus.
Appreciate any reccos thanks!
