I think u need to get urself a new HU too.. Ya like u said u need an amp and sub too .. If u can give us ur budget we will be able to do it the nicer way by giving u the model numbers etc etc .. Remember good music and that too in car which has all kinds of disadvantages (alternator whine , reflections of glass, tyre noise etc etc ) comes at a price ..

PS : Im wondering why u want better music anyways , for im guessing ur music is already playing excellent at revvs over 3800 (??) .. Courtesy psychos headers and FF ..

the HU and speakers from the company are horrible.. i cant believe you are still having those.. they should be removed when you are removing the plastic covers on the seats. .. and i also thought you always loved the sound of the car more than music.. remember you did not let me switch on my car's system when you were driving.. and since people are talking about mclarens amp why dont you steal it first.. then you will need only a sub..

Dont worry mcalren, I dont think the Kenwood has a preamp out. your amp would be severly under utillised in this stock system.

Any idea how good this sub is? And 60.2 would go fine with it right? I will check if I can get 300.1 for a good price or it should be 60.2.

and what about those damping sheet? What are those?

and how good will a 12incher do in there instead of teh 10?

Sam, wher ru :((

I dont think 12inch will work out here as it would need a better mounting depth.

JKD those damping sheets are the ones car manufacturers use for damping. Its relatively low cost and works really well. Though you can only use it in enclosures or the boot... for doors etc you still need Wurth, Fonomat etc.

Even a 'IB friendly' 15"er will be fine, as long as you can fit it in there (depth is a limitation).
