see, a 25 yr OLD would definitely be eligible if seen by the eyes of a 13 yr old kid.

Where would be a good place in Pune to get that?

Even I am looking for a reputable dealer. Rs9K was quoted to me by a dealer in Koregaon Park and Poona Motors- Camp; so I am presuming that is the going rate.
I still need to see more dealers (Bafna near FC Rd) and any other dealer recommendations before I commit my money to a dealer.
Are you looking to buy just a Head Unit or a complete system?

Please advice sound system for my Swift Vxi

Hi,
I am planning to buy complete sound system for my Swift Vxi. After lot of looking around i have shortlisted the following.
My budget is litle tight at around 20-22 K and I want everything with Bill!

Head unit : Pioneer DEH-P5990IB (Rs.9000)
Front component : JBL GTO 607 ( Rs.6500)
Rear Speakers : JBL GTO937 (Rs. 4950 ) ( Alternate Polk db691 - Rs 6750)

I am not going for any sub woofers or amplifiers as this itself will cost me aroud 20K +

As Front component : JBL GTO 607 ( Rs.6500) is 6-1/2" (160mm) Iam concerned whether it will fit in my front door speaker panels of swift! If not then i have option to go for GTO 507, is that Ok? For rear i am going for a tray. Please please advice whether its worth the buy? Do i have to go to Polk instead of JBL? Is there any other configuration better for the money i spend?
I have very less time to decide please advice soon.

Thanks a lot in advance!

Kiyon for rear get Kicker ES693 - 5k, excellent depth and clarity.
For front u can consider Illusion EL6.1 comps too.

Sir, you can fit the GTO 607 in the front door with a spacer ring. GTO 607 is a good option.

What kind of music do you hear? That will be of primary importance when you choose your components. Do you like a lot of bass? Is volume/loudness (SPL) more important than Sound Quality (SQL)?
Don't buy anything on a recommendation alone. Do carry a CD of your fave music to the installers and then check out the options available in your budget. LISTEN and then buy what sounds best!

If yo can specify your music tastes, it is generally a lot easier for the experienced people here to suggest what you should audition within your budget.

Well, I think you are getting the 937 at a high price. Many on this forum seem to have got them considerably cheaper. You can buy two sets without b/w for 5200

the 607s will fit fine. your dealer might need a small spacer ring.

Sealed box will give you tighter bass but lower levels, ported box might be a bit boomier but the bass will be louder.

Well i want to tune my system for clarity...not too much of bass, loudness....The clarity and depth in the music should be good....Do i really need amps for this or the configuration mentioned will sound good.... I am planning to upgrade the system at later point of time but for now no budget for amps!!
