a bass tube has a loudspeaker in it. only in this case the loudspeaker is called a "subwoofer" since that is the term used for loudspeakers that produce only the low frequencies (like pedal organ notes)

karthik247 is an example. Two bass tubes fed by Pio 944. Of course he has 4 compos, but they are always cutoff by setting on teh HU to teh lowest possible vol.

I am trying to read this and all I can read is

TUBE, LOW, ORGAN.

And I'm thinking Yeah!! My tube is a low organ too. A Vital organ! The base of most things organic.

Nah, this is still not taking my attention away from speeker. To be shore.

Sameer Ji my friend already has 426s(or a 436s) in the front and 936s in the rear. And you can't really say bad speekers. He just needs bass.. hence a subwoopher. You kno how Dilli walas are, all "SHOW SHAA" ;-)

Looking at a budget of 8k tops and some input from u guys to be shore of the purchase i'd recommend him.

@raghave- Dam!! it means i cant get good rubbers ;-)

PS: dude great fun meeting you.

go for MDF.. Medium Density Fibre board... 3/4 inch thick.... In case the box is big or the speaker is heavy use a 1" one... (for structural rigidity)
