The macs are a major for desining and for heavy multimedia uses.... I wuz a student of multimedia and we used few Macs, some very pretty looking, when I did some courses via Arena Multimedia...

Macs are too awesome.... and Yea, ppl using windows pc everyday might not really prefer or get used to the macintoshzzzz.....

MACS were better than PCs. due to 2 reasons
1. Unix based MacOS software inherently more stable than windoze
2. G5 processor arch is superior as compared to x86(though the same cant be said when compared to amd64 arch, on which this message is being typed)
Now Apple has decided to go with intel x86 architechture instead of IBM G5(Its a PowerPC) to save costs, so you may as well install the next version of MacOSX on your PC instead of XP and all

ok coming from a guy who lived on Unix System V and the Mac OS the windows os is inherently unstable. by design. not intentional but by design nontheless. I am sure by now the guys in MS can build an OS that is as stable as any flavour of Unix/Linux/BeOS/Mac etc... but they would loose backward compatibility. To some measure this is true of Windows XP for example. If it's satibility that you desire the best alternate in India is to get a Intel PC loaded with any OS with a Kernel/Shell architecture where the Kernel is sacred. Then load XP as a shell. So any application in XP that misbehaves is treated as part of the XP shell.

Video in 60GB. that is small for video. for video one would need like 200-400GB to store enough.

Navin, you cant really look at it as a video player. That feature is just an add-on to come up with something new. Besides the screen is too small to watch an entire movie on, unless some1 is really desperate to watch a movie on it. Apple has been advertising the video file player more for music videos rather than movies. Its just an add on you get for the same price! The main thing abt the new ipod is its slim design and 10 additional gb as compared to the 20gb color and longer batter life... and you dont pay a penny more for all of this.
My 20gb iPod's up for sale if any1s intrested
