hmm... Just saw this thread!!!
IMO: nothing to beat the recording quality of the Eagles' album Hell Freezes Over

Its worth every penny you pay...

Especially the Hotel California live version.. one of the best recorded songs till date.. all instruments are equalised brilliantly!

what say?

cheers!
Shrivz...

I generally use Eagles and Mark Knopfler for testing range too. The recording quality of the "Eagles: Their Greatest Hits" 2 CD set is just awesome.

Guaranteed Goosebumps and tingling in the spine

For the entire range of tones from low male voice baritones to electronic beeps, along with a range of volumes from whisper soft to full blooded loud, you have got to listen to "The Tide is Turning" by Roger Waters.
One of my favourite musicians, songwriters and singers.

Shrivz and Hydrashok reminded me of two more of my favourites. Hotel California (original electric) and Long Run (old live recording from the 80's and Mark Knopfler's Shangri La are great music. Knopfler is particularly peaceful, just right for my evening bumper to bumper drives home.
