After buying SJ4000 more than a year ago, I finally installed it as dash-cam in my car. Reason for delay, other than sheer laziness was unavailability of good mounts at competitive price in India.

I finally ordered it from aliexpress and after testing for more than six months which includes unforgiving summers of North and a grueling trip to spiti with zero failure, I would recommend them.

Product quality is acceptable and quite good for the price paid - 3.5$.

Seller response is top notch. My first set (I ordered 2) had top mount broken due to poor packaging. I complained to the seller and asked for replacement of top mount (though I did not need it as I use the screw mount).

Seller sent me full replacement! Though still in a poor packaging I must mention.

I had my friend bring it over from China. He bought it from JD.com I think.

In India you can order from aliexpress through a seller who has good rating and reviews. Be prepared for long delivery time and uncertain custom duty.

It is available on ebay, amazon etc. also but quite expensive.

After an extensive indagation and based on inputs from fellow BHPians, I've finally ordered G1W-CB (capacitor based) dash cam from gearbest. This one seems to be the best bang for buck under $50. Will put a detailed review once I receive it.

Hello BHPians! My SJ1000 dashcam has suddenly stopped working properly. Symptoms being the device freezing on welcome screen and the screen turns black. Although the blue light on top remains glowing, nothing is recorded and no response from any of the buttons. I searched the web but nothing could be found. Do somebody know of any fix or if somebody has faced the same issue can he share some more information please?

Bought SJCAM 4000 WiFi at around Rs.5500 from Amazon.in and have to separately order for the Suction holder. Most probably will try to set this up tomorrow and hard wiring will be done after some performance checks.

Can someone suggest a good quality suction mount for sjcam 4000 WiFi. The one which i ordered is not at all holding good and I need to Leave for the trip on upcoming Sunday. So need expert, Tried and tested suggestions urgently.

I used SJcam M10 extensively during my Ladakh trip back in May 2018. I am quite satisfied with the result. The only problem I faced during my trip was M10 doesn't support a memory card higher than 32GB. Is there any solution for that?

I am using an SJCam M10 as my dashcam. Overall I am satisfied with it. However, from the last two months, I am facing a unique issue. Every time, the cam restart, the time gets reset. After restarting, it shows some random dates. I even did the factory reset but the problem is not solved.

What can be done for this?
