Deky its like an escrow account. Once you confirm delivery ali express shall release the payment to the seller. Though your account should have got debited in a day or two.

I ordered an M10 based on your recommendation from GearBest. After a week, when I asked for an update, they said it's out of stock and I can pick anything else from the store. I asked for a full refund, which they promptly did.

Wondering from where should I buy now, aliexpress/dx? Saw some sellers on AE but the order and review counts are pretty less, so didn't order just yet.

Why not order it from banggood.com? It's available for $69 there.

I recently ordered a SJ5000 WIFI from there. The camera was delivered in 2 weeks time and I also verified that it is the genuine SJCam and not a fake.

I want a screen, was keen on SJ4000 earlier as I have a GP Hero and at times I really wish I had a screen on there. After seeing the M10 review, decided to go for that instead as a smaller form factor is good for a dashcam.

Well, I've so far ordered only once from BangGood; ordered the SJCam and a few other stuff including the windshield mount you mentioned.

One of the items I ordered was not how I expected it to be and I have initiated a request for refund/replacement. They were quick with their initial response to the request, but I am yet to receive a confirmation regarding the refund or replacement as the case might be. I'll post an update here, if you'd want me to, once I receive a confirmation.

The other products including the camera, however, seems to be quite good. Searching online, I found a few ways to distinguish between a genuine SJCAM and its fakes. I tried a few of them and my trepidation that I may have received a fake SJCAM has been laid to rest.

All smooth, no customs duty was charged. The seller had marked the item as "Car camera" and valued it at $16 which, I believe, was the reason why no customs duty was charged.

A different question, how do you guys make sure the suction cup stays in place?

I have a old cheap Chinese dashcam whose mount keeps falling off! Tried cleaning the surfaces, leaving a bit of moisture before applying it on the windscreen, nothing seems to work.

There is a problem with suction cup then. You have to get a new one. On all my dashcams, none of the suction cups fall. The very old GPS I have (Mio 320), I need to wet the suction cup as its now almost 10 years old!

Hmm, thought so. Thinking of applying some sort of glue at the periphery and trying one last time. But am concerned about the adhesive spoiling the windscreen. Trouble is, the mount is rather specific for the cam and the cam won't fit a generic mount.
