any day 8850 if compared to 8650. I am using 8850 myself from the last 3-4 months very good sq as compared to 8650. also the 8850 has full ipod compatable features, 16 eq and 8650 has 13 eq . the 8850 has built in aux in but the 8650 has to connected externally with aux adapter. also last but not the least the display of 8850 is better though it will not matter much.

the extra three eq freq on the 8850 are 20 , 31.5 , and 20k Hz

the last one does not make much of the diff but the 20 and 31.5 hz make the low_bass much more or we can say it is personnel preferance of listing music..

I like low_bass........thats all nothing much.......lol

Yo MAn!!!!!!!!!!!
KB is back!

Hey more guys turning to PIOs these days. Speak about simplicity and more defined bass etc... Pioneer is not just crap after all!!!
If theory does'nt help, then practical will! Experience speaks louder. I am back to my Pioneer and the Alpine HU chapter is closed.

And for Morten Bhai!!!!
8850 is the way you should take! You'll enjoy the curves, flats and Bumps!!!
