New ICE install ...what do you guys think?

Trying to setup ICE for my new Honda City ZX Exi folks.This is what I've almost zeroed in.

Head Unit still undecided - my reqs are very high SNR and three preamp outputs. Might be a Sony or an Alpine.

Front Components 5.25 JBL GTO507 Rs.5500
Rear Coaxials 6x9 JBL GTO937 Rs.4950
Four Channel Amp. JBL CS60.4 Rs.8990
Subwoofer Tube JBL CS1204t Rs.6500
Two Channel AMP JBL CS60.2 Rs.5990
Wiring - Whatever the installer recommends

What do you guys think ? My budget is 45K and I want the best value for money setup. Ah and one more thing, the prices I've quoted are the MRP. What kinda discount should I get asking or what do you think would be a decent price for these components?

Thanks

config looks good. Think 6X9 would be a over kill if you haev the TUBE. Use teh wiring that come with the speakers.

Get Connection Audison (for power to amp, distribution blocks, RCA etc ), JBL ( there's an sub kit for 3k), Twister or sort. Avoid Boss as many had problems using it. Avoid cutting of extra speaker wires. USe damping for frnt doors.

ANd lastly, get all these done by a good installer!

Alpine = Yes!!
Sony = hmmmm NO NO!

you can also try Pioneer 6850. 3 pre-outs and aux-in on the face etc.. will fascinate you I think.

Hi wannabelean,

Stuff that u are deciding is good enough.. But JBL CS series amplifiers will not get you the most out of your front components and rear speakers.

I suggest, rather than going for two CS amplifiers, get a single JBL GTO 75.4 (4 ch) amp. Use this amp to power only the front components and the bass tube.

Run your rear speakers, from the head unit.
I have had a bad experience about wiring... so dont really take the installers recommendations, unless he is a very good installer..

Best of luck

emm, 9+ 6 = 15 for 2 cs amps

and a gto jbl 75.4 = 13somethign right?

if you can get that, run teh rear from the HU

but two amps , a 4 channel and a 2 channel would work fine and I would prefer it that way.

Hi all,
slightly ...
recently i have been using SRS plugin with my mp3 files on Windows media player. Does HU's support SRS? or is there a way in which i can save SRS effects into mp3 files?

45 k is a decent budget. try to source a decent DVD or USB player instead of a MP3 cd player..suggestions are Alpine DVA-9860/9861 for DVD & Clarion DB566USB & Sony MEX-1GP for USB players. these players give u more options. check them out

cheers

Supreme Hifi is the authorised importers for alpine in India. I'll ask the alpine dealer here about the dealer in Hyderabad. Or you can call Mr. Anish on: (0)9349117565. He's the dealer for Alpines in Kerala. He can help to find a dealer in Hyderabad. (You can tell my reference if needed).

PM Gunbir or Autophile to find out about connection audison.

Hello lee,

IMO, the SRS will ruin the sound in your car.

I agree with JKdas, 6x9 powered by HU will certainly be asking for too much.
If he can replace 6x9 with 6.5",then i will prefer amit's suggestion.
