audio installs for lancer

Hi guys ..i have a lancer sfxi

i want to install very good sub woofers for it ...pls suggest which sub woofers with high RMS along with good amps , i want my car to be heard from a long way...

my car audio setup right now is

1.panasonic dvd head
2.jbl component front gto 606ce
3.rear cs396e 6x9 speakers
4. one ,4 channel amp jbl CS60.4.
5.a sub woofer GTO1204br

i need bass boost i will add a mono block and 1 or 2 subs which do u recommend..

my friend amit suggested me

*use your existin JBL CS amp to power the front and rear speakers
*Get 2 JBL CS1200T bass tubes OR 1 JBL GTO 1000W bass tube
*If u can, then wait for sometime and buy a JBL GTO301.1 mono amp
*Connect the bass tube/tubes to the amp.
*You can use 2 CS bass tubes OR at the max 1 GTO bass tube with this mono amp.
*Dont miss on the wiring, get a genuine JBL sub/amp con kit.
*May be after sometime you would be required to install a Capacitor

wat do u think pls help guys, thank u

Your friend's suggestion seems good. It cant be decided because you have'nt mentioned your budget.

As you want the sound to be heard outside the car, Bass tubes are ok for you. Basstubes will give enough boom-boom and that will satisfy you. Or you can consider getting a Bandpass enclosure from JBL http://www.fxaudio.com/caraudio/jbl-...gto1204bpd.htm
And get a Monoblock amp. I will suggest to get a 601.1 monoblock. BTW, this setup will cost 30k! Is it under your budget?

one more thing install three 306 and some ts-20s like our busted.....

Hey we can tellu lots of option but first we need a limit to how much u can spend I would not recommend bass tube because they are not loud enough .....I would recommend bass tube to those who need neat and clean install and need a little bass in the system...

Actually all you need is a tankful of petrol and a lit matchstick...

Go for 2x Pioneer 12" subs and as many Pioneer Monoblocks...

1W rms is adequate if you had a pair of Klipschorns in your car. :-) I tis not watts but SPL that matters.

BTW if your car can be heard blocks away it is not good for anyone to be sitting in your car.

As i have told you that i have a JBL601.1 with two 15" JBL woofers. It produces lot of pressure in the cabin, that i it is unberable at time. Come to bombay and i'll show you my car so that you can judge for youself. SAM, has heard my car, and you can ask him. And it makes sense believing guru log like SAM, Navin etc..

SAM sir, help him out!!

Again let me tell you, that simply have a 601.1 with GT4-15 does not mean that it'll be awsome. You need to have proper wirings, dampings, capaitors and most of all a box as per the spefication mentioned.

Try using 15" woofers with a mono amp in some Desi box/wiring worth 400 Rs. I bet you will never wanna listen to it again.

The box which i have in my car cost me 4500 Rs as it was custom build and according to specs.

Hey redeye
dont listen to LBM when he says what spk/sub to buy and dont ask Kb which amplifier to buy.

Do what speedzak has told u.
Get 600.1 amp and add two 12" subs in ported box.If still want more bass, shows us more money.

BTW,why u want othern to hear ur ICE system when u have spend from ur own pocket.

man,
every one who comes here... one or other way, would raise their initial budgets....

here is my $0.02...
if you could wait for some time... wait till year end (say nov - dec time)...
this is the holiday season in US... ask some one coming from US (ie. if you know somebody in US) to bring you the amps and subs.. (atleast the amps..) you would get atleast 50% off on all the products... now is the summer there and not a right time to buy from US...
