[quote=anToNIcHeN]always look at RMS or continous wattage of the speaker.... this rating is more realistic rating as it gives the continuous power output of a speaker.QUOTE]

even the RMS ratings are only thermal like said before 100W at 400Hz is one thing, 100W at 50Hz is another.

Just stick to good brands and you will be safe. Watt ratings are mostly marketing.

the 3850 is fine. one of the better models at the price just make sure you get an ORIGINAL one will BILL and a MANUFACTURERS warranty and make sure your dealer mails the warranty card with your serial number. There is a lot of fake/grey/"Made in India" Pioneers in the market.

The bos will give you tighter better defined bass at lower levels, the tray will give you looser, less defined bass but higher levels. If you like Rock/Jazz get a box of you like Thump/Boom get a tray. I am sorry but I have no idea what the latest musical genres mean (Hip Hop, House, Trance, etc...).

Hi Parth,

I spent around 13K on my ICE with Pio 6850 and teh yellow cone Pio TS-D691S Kevlar crossover (6x9) speakers and i am telling you it rocks!! .. great bass for the price ..

I would prefer you to go for a wooden tray .. may be two ply one because of 3 reasons:

1. you dont need to compromise ur boot space .. as boxes would take away a lot of it in your M800

2. you can always (if needed) can unplug your speakers and remove the tray and use the boot when u need it

3. in the future if you want to upgrade, you can have the sub-woofer fitted to the same tray ..

I can let you know from where I bought the all the stuff.. its from the grey market but is genuine ..

the idea is that if you intend to haev a 4channel amp and a sub setup later on , you need to have a Hu with 2 preamp outs. 3 is better, but then you need 9k.

Consider all the 'good' brands..all have something for your range...The 'good' brands include Hertz, JBL, Alpine and some models of blaupunkt...all of them are available with B&W in Delhi.

How about posting some pics of your install? It'd give a fitting finish for your thread and will help many who're out looking for similar installs.
