one more odd thing. me and my friend have the same HU and sub. but he has a fake Alpine doing the duty. the strange thing is at Volume Level 10-15, his car is exploding whereas mine is not even fully awake? Why is that?

Also I like in-cabin SQ, but sometimes deep Bass getting outta the car and disturbing the crap out of pedestrians (read: chicks) is also required. which somehow seems missing.
Mr. SAM, Navin & Co. Urgent Help Reqd.
A little tuning with the amps will solve all of this unfrotunately this is done by ear so you'd have to depend on someone who is available near you.

I had once earlier mentioned that the fake Alpines do put out a lot of power.

Nope. They put out a lot of power. More than the JBL 60.4. For sure.

they sure do put out a lot of power. only the alpines were able to take the JBL DVC sub with ease. moreover, all these installers do press the customers to get the alpines installed. even if someone specifically asks for any other brand, they continue to recommend the fakes.

but the fact is, those alpines lack quality. listen to one of those after listening to a JBL and u will understand what i am trying to say.
