What ICE = Nervous Breakdown <> Me a happy listener

Well first of all before all you audio guru's take off on me... I read the statuatory warnings and am sure that I did what I wanted to do , and I ended up being one satisfied kid.

Timeline:
1) Sold my conti 2 weeks ago
2) Got my esteem a day after that
3) Took it to the track
4) Came back and set it up all that I thought it needed
5) The next question ICE

2 days ago got my delivery of the a/d/s 6.5 comps (236IS) and a/d/s 10' bass tube (AB-502.10A)

Landed up at Anwars and decided to go with my existing NASA 6 channel amp (yeah I know unknown brand but it has served me well for the last 3 years that I have had it and also it served the guy before me for another 3 years without a prob, also it is currently the weakest link in my install. Hence if Dad hits a lottery I might think about upgrading to a audison till then I enjoy what i got)

Chose to get a Pioneer 6850 and use EFX wires to power up the install, with strict instructions for no damping on the install.

a days work

a simple install as the pics show

but some phenomenal sound, the sub especially floored all of us.

and me a happy person.

I know I aint an audio guru but good sound is always appreciated/accepted be it the engine or the music.

PS: Thank god cant hear it as a bass machine down the road.

Hey !!!

Looks like all that culminated in a satisfied psycho My icing upgrade has taking me the longest time! Infact iv been meaning to ask the bangy members if they could introduce me to anwar... was wanting to know how much his services would cost for my install.

Really tidy install there... also good to see that you have experimented with equipment which is not name brand... sometimes throws up great results... but audison awaits

and bhai dont talk about nervous breakdowns... when Kb100000 is cruuising the forums, lol !!

Nope, EBBass is Asif,
Anwar is Auto Fusion.
Both good Installers, but, i prefer anwar, his tuning skills are amazing.

Well done. I am sure it sounds very nice. Nice to see an engine-walla getting good sound in his car.

Yeah Sam. THere is hope yet. Soon Psycho will have crossed over to the dark side. When he talks of power it wont be HP, it will be RMS!

Psycho, as a fan of discrete systems, any idea why the crossvoers were not hidden?

Dark side of the moon?

Well power for me is still in HP. The SQ of the setup means more than the RMS.

As for Sam I would like to see him crossover to my side and it will be even more fun if plans his own engine mods as I did for my audio setup what say Sam??? ( The setup was the answer for the last ad )

Wanted the crossovers to be easily accessible at any point of time, also oval shapes for the speaker pods werent looking too great.

As for me being a fan of Discreet systems is a huge ? the only reason why I chose to get the speakers was because of a/d/s's home theater background (could be sure of the SQ)and good reviews where ever I went and not to mention the discount I got. And yes I have been bowled over by the sub completely for the way it blends in.

PS: the orignal plan was for MB Quart or JL

Hey,

a/d/s is a very famous brand (just not popular in India) and used to make excellent stuff till a few years back. Unfortunately it was taken over by Directed Electronics and the stuff is now made in Taiwan and quality has gone down. I have had a/d/s in my cars since 1996.
