Poor Radio quality on my matiz.

Listening to radio while driving is now become more of a habit, unfotunately i am facing problems of distortion.

Now mine is a base model matiz,so did not get the external antennae with it.I scouted around for one at most major accessory shops in pune city but have not been able to find one.So I had no option but to go in for an internal antennae.Unfortunately the reception is not quite good.

This is the accessory guys explanation.
Internal antennaes are very powerful and hence they catch noise signals from underground transmission lines. And nothing can be done to remove the distortion in the radio sound. Anybody using internal antennaes facing the same problem.
Hey guys anything possible to remove this distortion.

Meanwhile am also searching for an external antennae for the matiz any suggestions on where I could get one.

which antenna are you using?

have a blaupunkt after-market, and it works fine - absolutely no noise pick-up.

Some japanese company the accessories guy claimed to be the best available option in India right now.
Do you remember how much the blaupunkt cost you.

Some HUS have a feature to compensate for this noise. I am not FM expert but I understand that these even HUs are only partly successful at this.
