Need help! No sound in one of the Rear Speaker!

ICE Experts, I have a small issue:
I have a Pioneer HU (P5750) and Blaupunkt speakers. In the rear, I have Co-axial 6*9 speakers.
Just noticed today that Rear Left Speaker produces NO sound, the Balance and Fader is set a 0.
Any idea what could be the issue & resolution?
Thanks in Advance!

This may be obvious dude, but have you checked the physical connections of your speaker cables to both the speakers & your HU/Amp?

You could have one of 3 problems

1) Your HU is busted
2) Your Speaker is busted
3) Your wire is kaput.

There is a simple way to confirm if the speaker is ok, Simply take the wire out of the right speaker and hook it to the left. If you still have silence, your speaker is blown.
Or else it's the HU OR the wire.
There are ways to confirm that too, but by now I suspect you may want to take it to an installer

Sir, you better dont experiment anything by just seeing it here unless you're familiar with these thingys.

Sam has given you the picture of what could be wrong.
I very much suspect/guess it could be the wiring because in most installs, that's the thing which gives up first.

Anyway, get it checked by an installer or an auto electrician.

Umm Rahul, I know you mean well, but please see his problem and then offer a solution. His left speaker has stopped working. It cannot be that all duplicate left speakers are blowing.

Even if it is a spurious speaker we need to find out what's not working.

I didn't know that there were any duplicate sony xplods. Can you post a picture and give us some information so we can be careful in our future purchases?

Finney do let us know what happened, when it's all done.

I did not intend to put this problem down as caused due to spurious speakers.
I just wanted to share my experience where I saw this very same problem and it was diagnosed as spurios speakers[Co-incidently the left speaker had blown of then too].

Regarding the spurious xplod pics right now I am not able to show it to you,I am no ICE expert so am in absolutely no position to provide any information for precautions for the same, but yes the problem does exist and a person must take care while buying them from the local accessory shops.

Regarding finneyp problem it may just maybe due to loose wiring thats all,or maybe a genuine speaker itself has blown off and as these were already put forward by the team-bhpians thought I should not include it again.

in 2002, i have seen duplicate sony xplods in baazee.com listed for only Rs.695 for a pair. when i called up the seller in delhi, he said he was assembling parts from sony & selling them that cheap. i guess thats one phony sony, sam. of course i did not buy that.

@finneyp... please do your own basic check as explained by sam & you will get a pretty good idea
cheers

Ummm - Sam, I had 6x9" Sony Xplods installed in my Esteem since 2001, bought from the same chap that esteem_lover mentioned.
Only difference? I paid a thousand bucks + S/H for them!
No pics available, of course.

Silly me! I re-checked the wiring today, and lo behind the rear left Speaker, I found one small wire hanging dettached!
So just connected the wire & the Speakers start rocking again!

Thanks to all esp Sam for the advise! Cheers!
