Yep. Once you get used to a steering RC, there is no going back. Even stretching your left arm just a little to the HU becomes an inconvenience :-) And a steering RC is safer too. No need to take eyes off the road.

I'd be fiddling with the HU and settings like there was no tomorrow. And about changing the songs around a-la playlists on the go, lets not even get into it. Mmmmmmmm...

@ busa,
i have a stock blau deck with me without the steering controls. if yours is of no use to you, you could consider selling it to me....
i have a blau Hamburg MP57 HU, the same was supplied with an IR remote the small thingy with a couple of keys, now my question is , if the stock remote works on IR why do i need to install the IR eye that comes with the steering remote !!. will the HU not sense the steering remote through the same sensor that it senses the stock remote from?
