I probably need an amp as well.
Amitoj a few thigs for you to remember:

1. You can't accomodate a 6.5" componnent in the front of the OHC unless you're willing to cut the door pad. So either that or settle for a 5.25" component in the front.

2. You can't drive the sub without an amp so you would need a decent 4-ch amp to power the front components (to make them sound nice) and the woofer too. My recommendation here is the JBL 75.4 if you can squeeze it into your soon to be increased budget or the Pioneer 6200/6300. Anything smaller/less powerful can't play the sub satisfactorily.

3. I think the Co-axials in the rear would be fine provided you drive the car yourself.

4. Also, if you play at loud volumes you might need to damp the sheet metal as it's quite thin.

My ideal suggested setup would be:

JBL 75.4 amp - 13k
JBL 607c comps - 6.5k
JBL co-axials - 4k (I think)
JBL GT4-12 sub - 5k
Custom sealed box - 1.5k
Wiring - 3k

But this would bust your budget seriously even after the discounts you would get on the stuff. Other options could include the Pioneer 6200 amp available for around 7.5k in the grey market.

Hope this helps.

P.S. Get ready for the gurus to come in & bust your budget!!

very nice work Ishan.....did not expected from your side with such details....

Ishan has exceeded your budget by 13k but I would also recommend the same as it will be the best playing setup for any car.....and If you can plz go for the same and if you want any changes try listing to some other speakers make like alpine , blau, and others....and then decide....

Really nice, Ishan Tyre Dealergiri chod rahe hain kya? Looking for greener pastures?

@amitoj, if you have the budget, I'd take Ishan's list directly to the installer.

Do you already have a HU? Else that will need to be figured in too. If you're not particular about the sub immediately, you can get a Pio6200/6300 (7k) or a JBL CS60.4 (8k) for the time being.

Zenx had a budget similar to yours and an OHC to ICE. I think he got the job done mostly within budget. His posts (lots of 'em) are in the Car Audio Gurus thread. But he did not get sub in the current install.

Thanks Ishan but 13K in excess of the budget!!! That wont leave me with any money for petrol! Your idea of damping the sheet metal is something i will have to seriously consider.

LBM, yeah i will listen to as many speakers as possible... even if it leaves me deaf!

Hydra, HU is already taken care of. Pio 7950 as i mentioned earlier.

But pleeeease suggest a setup within 20k yaar.

Front Speakers: CS2165c (2-way comps; 5K)
Rear speakers: CS2165 (2-way coaxials, 3k)
Amp: Pio 6200/6300 (7K) or JBL CS60.4 (8K)
Sub: Pio 306C in ported box (3.5K + 1.5K)
Wiring (Power + RCA): 3K
Total: 24K.

IMHO this is the min. budget under which you can have comps (in front) and a sub, without compromising on not-so-good stuff. I've not added damping to this, which will run to 3K minimum, which you can get done later, maybe.

Else you'll need to go in stages. 4 speakers & 4-ch amp now; sub & damping later.

mixing and matching is for those who like to experiment. if you are adventureous there is nothing to stop you.

both systems should sound good IF installed well. Make sure they use good wire (not BOSS) and as an added precaution make sure they do NOT run your power cable and RCA wire alongside each other.

Oops somehow missed this thread. Yep I got the foll

* Pio4950
* Polk Audio comps in the front
* Polk 6x9s in the rear
* Amp - JBL CS60.4

The whole thing, including the wiring set me back by about 31k (NOT within my original budget ), and as hydrashok had predicted, am not missing a sub.

amitoj, wiring - scosche/monster are good, and the auto-fusion guys mixed it with some other brand which i fail to recollect.

for power finolex , for rca check out for any good brand in the range of 1k each. and for speaker cable it will cost you from 50-100 per meter.

for damping first check do you require it .

Any ol' ISI certified wire will do for power. I use a brand called Polycab.

For RCA there is MX, Audisson, Monster (interlink Jr.) etc..
