I don't think that it's possible to use CD-I200 with the JVC unit. However, I have never tried it.

No you cant, they are two different solutions, each meant to be compatible with HUs from the same manufacturer.

Thanks for clarifying that. I guess I'll have to stick to the KS-U58. Gunbir, do you have any idea whether its available or not? I could not get one from the JVC distributors in Dubai. If its available, can you please let me know the price as well?

Dunno about the KS-U58, but the JVC KS-PD100 iPod interface is available here for Rs 5500 with B&W. I suspect the KS-U58 would also be available here though their official importer, Impel.

Iv been gifted a navi-screen that has dvd playback, which means I need a HU thats DVD enabled.

There's a JVC for 9k that offers DVD+usb but some folks say it doesnt sound that great. Hoping I can find some Blr users and audition.

Hi Guys,

I have a friend coming back from UK and wanted to ask him to get a cheap HU.

I found this to be the cheapest 40 pounds(3000 Rs)
JVC Mobile In-Car Entertainment, Car Stereo, Audio Car Stereos, Car HiFi Systems, In-Car Hi-Fi, In-Car DVD, Car Hi Fi Amps & Speakers, Extreme ICE

Can you please let me know if this makes sense at that price or should I pay a little more (1 or 2 k more?) to buy a pioneer in bangalore.

Also will the FM radio work in Bangalore?

How is JVC HU R506 compared to Kenwood 543 and Pioneer?

How safe it is to buy JVC from grey?

DZire Music System

Dear Friends,

I have booked a SwiftDZire Lxi. The dealer gave me 3 options as regards Music System. Sony, Kenwood and JVC. I want to install a double-din and that is available in only sony and JVC. Sony costs 3000 more than JVC. I am inclined towards JVC if these are the three options. My budget is around 10k. (15k for the whole setup. without amp and woofer.)

I really need some good opinions, suggestions from you guys.

1. Should I take any of these 3 options or just not opt for stereo and get it installed later on. If yes; which is the better choice of stereo (2din) to install?

2. If sony/JVC are good enough; which one is better? and how does the JVC system sound (Model kw xg706)?

I am a music lover. I love big and nice sound so I need the stereo to be just right. Or else driving wont be fun.

Please guide.

A J Oka.

Take the model numbers and check in the market for the prices. If the difference is substantial, it is better you get it done outside. It may happen that the dealer threatens you of warranty being void if done outside - just ignore him as nothing of that sort is valid, since wiring and connectors are provided in the car for that purpose only.

Between Sony and JVC, most here will prefer JVC. Be sure to put a set of components in the front instead of coaxes - makes a world of difference to the sound image. Rear can be coaxes.
