It is quite grainy. works ok for subs and maybe rear (in mid range sysytems) but for 2K more one can get a Pio 6100.

I think DEH-P5850MPH is the one we usually get in the grey market.
hi,

Thank alot for letting me know the difference.

i liked th 5850mph but didnt quit like the MP as it had red backlighting. so i settled for deh-p6850mp. its a good piece of equipment.

thanks a ton guys four your suggestions to buy 6850...got it for 8.5k gray. only 1 k more than 5850 with 3 preouts.

Hu for your car

Hi,
dude if you want a head unit u should go for the Pioneer-6850 which is for RS - 9000, th advantage of this is that it has a blue display , cd/mp3 player and also a AUX in on the panel for an ipod or psp etc,
or the newly launched 6950 which will cost you around 12000 and is the new model and only difference between this model and the above is that 6950 also has a usb,
or go to Beyond Cars at oshivra (andheri-w) he has a fantastic second hand Head unit sparingly used of Alpine , Alpine is the most expensive but the best i would suggest, But its the most expensive, the owners name is Devang-9869069340.
U can use Kickers or JBL or Audioban for supreme sound quality,
and for a amp you could connect the rear speaker on a 2 channel JBL.
Cheers,

hi guys,

finally decided to buy comps. since i have infinity reference series 6x9s i wnat to buy infy ref series comps.

Sam
(sung) bhai...lol...let me know the price. my budget is around 6 - 7k. and please tell me if where i can audition them in punjab cause no one has infy stuff in jalandhar. also i dont mind buying gray if they are out of my budget. anyone with price of the infy reference comps gray??? need 6 inchers as accent can accomodate them with little mods i guess.

and also if i buy jbl comps will it make a difference? is it the right thing to do? please guys help me out cause i gonna buy the stuff in a day or 2.

another suggestion please.

im planning to buy an amp to power the fr comps and rear 6x9 infy ref. was planing to buy jbl 75.4, whats the price in gray and with b/w? i have a 944 to power the subs. do i really need the 75.4? can i buy something cheaper without compromising alot on sq?

how will the 60.4 perform as compared to 75.4? my total budget is around 16k for an amp and comps. anu other amp except pio??

if i can save some $$$ i'll go for damping the fr doors. i'll up my budget by 2-3k if really needed.

Thanks,
rishabh

ek bhel, meetha jaldi bananaa bhai

p.s. - going to delhi on the 1st. should i buy stuff from there? please advise.

The 75.4 is a really good amp. Even more bang for the buck than a 60.4. The 60.4 would be about 9K and the 75.4 would be about 13-14K, both with B&W. No idea of grey prices, sorry.

If you ask whether you really need the 75.4, I guess you don't. But I think the 75.4 will get the best out of the Infinitys. The 60.4 may not do as well.

But of total budget is 16K, you might need to go for a 60.4, and that too in the grey. You'll need to fit the amp, comps and wiring into the 6K right? I guess you may not need too much wiring as you already have an amp.

If the current power wiring is 4 gauge, you'll just need a distribution block and some good quality 8 guage/4 guage wire. That should get done in 1K easily. And of course 2 sets of 2-channel RCAs. 1.5K to 2K there.

If you're driving to Delhi, maybe you can buy the stuff there, and even get it installed there? From what you've mentioned (and other members have mentioned) about the ICE equipment and installation choice in your area, Delhi might be a better bet. But you'll need to get it (the installation) right when you install itself. You may not be able to go back to Delhi to get some fixing-up in the install done later, right?
