I'd say the same thing. If you can, get the ESKs.

Sam,

There is no stock in Silverline.
Also, this is what they said :
We order only in bulk and it takes a month for the pieces to be in stock.
The earliest I can expect the amp in stock would be another 20 days minimum.
Looks like my dealer was correct.
Ohh, btw the name dropping did not help at all.

Cheers
AB.

Are Kicker wires for 5700/- for the kit a good buy in terms of quality and price?

I am sure there are better deals (JBL,Audison,Scosche) ?

And how are kicker compos? (KS65.2)

Hello,
I am installing an Alpine MRP 240 amplifier in my Swift.
Apart from the boot (which I want to avoid), what would be other options for installing(placing) the amplifier in the car.
The amplifier will be amping the front components only (Hertz ESK).
I was planning on bi-amping the compos as suggested by a few people.

AB.

why not the boot? the 240 is small enough to go under the car seat but it can get kicked there and lord forbid your car gets flooded.

The best thing to do is to mount the amp on an MDF plank, and then mount the plank onto the rear seats. If not, the only options are:

- Under the driver's/passenger's seat, on the floor of the car.
- Behind the driver's/passenger's seat, on the floor of the car. You'll need to put a grille or something over the amp so rear passengers won't step directly on the amp and damage it.

Even though you are amping only the fronts, I feel mounting the amp behind the rear seats is best. Under the front seats, the amps will be exposed to a lot of dust/dirt and moisture. On the rear seats in the boot, the amps will be quite safe. I don't think they will intrude into luggage space thaaaat much.

Hows it going ? Any luck with the components ?

This amp woudl fit comfortably under a seat but it safety/security is suspect as Navin sir has pointed out.

Well, everything's been sourced.
Waiting for a date for an install.
Should be a whole day's job.. however was out of town , the last week.
Lets see if the install can be done over today/tomorrow.
