BTW for hip hop/trance a slightly high Qtc bass reflex box really rocks. but given that these are 6x9s in the rear, free air will do just fine.
Thank you, Navin, an undeserving honor to be considered worthy of that. The last 2 years were *rather* stressful, and I found TBHP a good stress buster rather late. The opportunity to able to share and help others without fear or favour is a great motivator.

And no, you will not be allowed to take a back seat after all that. Your contribution is not to be measured in the number of posts, but the ideas and depth of experience that you have brought here for others to share.

I am still learning the language. Yesterday I had quite painfully discovered what is meant by "tuning differs for different types of music" and "muddy bass": listening to the background bass in the song Ticket to Hollywood from Jhoom barabar jhoom on stock speakers in my Safari (I had recently bypassed the bass-blockers) - it was really jangling my nerves already sensitive in a bad traffic jam. What was "a-ha" for listening to Beatles turned to "ooh-aah-ouch" for the whoomf-whoomf of that song.

for the HU the most popular one is the pioneer 7950 for 9k and it has USB port to directly play pendrives and IPOD. also I would suggest to listen to few more HU like Kenwood , Alpine and check out how they sound and look out for the features also.

make sure you fill the warranty car with teh dealer's stamp and send it in.

if you find yourself pushing the HU's volume control beyond the half way mark get an amp.

good amps: Pio 6200 at 7K or JBL 4060 at 11K

there is a Sony 554 that cost 5K but I find it a touch grainy in sound.

When I visited a dealer in Gurgaon to get JBL Compos installed in the front doors, I was told that Its not advisable to install anything in doors of Indica, rather go for Dashboard default location and install 4" speakers(He suggested "Fusion"). What do you have to say about this suggestion and hows this Fusion's quality?
