Availability of Kenwood head-units in India?

I am looking for the Kenwood widescreen head units and can't seem to find them anywhere.

https://www.kenwood.com/india/car/vi...ion/ddx719wbt/
https://www.kenwood.com/india/car/vi...tion/ddx918ws/
https://www.kenwood.com/india/car/vi...tion/ddx919ws/

Even the older 717 and 718wbt seem to be unavailable.

Does anyone know where I can get either of the models posted above?

Thanks.

1. Did you already try their Indian distributor?

2. You could order it online in the USA and have someone carry it along. My kid brother is visiting the USA in December, if that helps . I can give you a shipping address in CA.

Yes, we did. Audio Guru Bass and Trouble and the normally resourceful Frank Mehta have both come up empty.

Hi Navin, I was also looking at the Kenwood DDX "ws" model with capacitive touch and HD display which would fit Toyota's stereo slot edge to edge. Kenwood's official channels could not help with sourcing that. A seller on amazon did oblige to get it for me from abroad if I placed a confirmed order with part payment but then I dropped the idea of stereo change altogether and still using the Pioneer 8890BT. Buying abroad looks like the only option as of now for the kenwood WS. It is a mystery how Kenwood even survives in India with its poor marketing and lack of availability of its high end models which they have even put on their India website.

GTO, Kenwoods have been on the way out for about a year now. Even basic models. It's only the old stock that would be available, for any models.

Well, that leaves me with 2 options.

1. Import a Kenwood
2. Consider the Blaupunkt Osaka 760 but it has only 1 USB port
https://www.blaupunkt.com/in/nc/prod.../single/17072/

Blaupunkt also has an Osaka 960 and a Texas 600 that have 2 USB ports and should fit but neither are available in India

I would still suggest the Kenwood! They have a very good collection of wide units for Toyota.

My preferences would be for the 719 but I do not know what the difference between the DMX and DDX units are.

I think the DDX units have 1 UDB but can play CD while the DMX units have 2 USB but cant play CDs. I would hence prefer the later (DMX).

The DMX series are mech less systems, apart from that it gets one additional USB and an extra round black port on the DMX719 extreme LHS (from our pov) at the back which I think is to plug in compatible navigational unit. It's not very clear on mobile screen.

So you recommend the DMX too? I don't use CDs in a car so don't need a disc player.

Nippon Auditronix is the distributor. +911202555555

I'm looking at Kenwood and comparing with Pioneer etc for stock headunit swap in Polo.

I (via Bass & Trouble) contacted the local Kenwood dealers but have had no luck yet.
