Re: Wireless Android Auto for cars without inbuilt WiFi

Was casually surfing AE when I found this:

ZJCGO Wireless Apple CarPlay Android Auto interface adapter BOX

https://m.aliexpress.com/item/400123..._backgroup_101

Looks like only for BMW. Definitely not PnP I think.

In my case, there are zero disconnections. It's just that the visuals lag by a lot. For example, I may be at a signal, but the UI will still show that I'm 1km away from the signal and still traveling. If I stop for a while, it'll catch up, but once the car is running, it starts to lag. I have a 6GB version where's there's 2GB free almost every time. Might have to try with an even more powerful phone.

But since your phone has no such issues, I think the issue is with the HU rather than the phone.
I had similar issues with my note 10 about a year back. Maps would either keep searching for location or have the location lagging by a decent distance. Would be more a cute in monsoons. Since my second phone was working fine, I assumed that problem is with the phone. Read somewhere that Samsung's power saving mode at times causes some issues with GPS chip. And changing power settings to maximum power did fix it for me.
Although it hasn't happened to me for quite sometime now, am guessing Samsung fixed the issue in one of its updates recently.

Wireless Android Auto on Honda City (2019-BSVI, VCVT)

Hello Everyone!

I have Samsung S20+ (which supports Wireless Android Auto), however I am not able to use Wireless Android Auto with my Honda City (2019 BS VI model that comes with Digipad 2.0 and supports wired Android Auto).

I am confused if Digipad 2.0 that comes with my Honda City has Wifi support or not.

Anyone here have been able to use wireless android auto with Honda City?
If yes, please guide me how to do that.

Thanks and Regards

Diwakant

Dongle for Wireless Android Auto:
Quote:
“AAWireless” is a crowd-funded dongle that plugs into the USB port on a car to bring the functionality of Android Auto from a nearby smartphone to the car itself.

The project team has begun turning their prototype into the final product.

Pre-Production version hands on

Disclaimer :- I am no way related to the project.

I am just searching for a reason to upgrade to a new android phone that supports wireless charging . So that I can use the amazing combo of 'Wireless Charging + Wireless Android Auto' in my Creta.

Hopefully, this one reaches our market in a year's time. Fingers crossed for a good product.

Wireless Android Auto is something that the Head Unit should support and only then it will work. Nowadays you can purchase dongles that connect to the Head Unit and allow the use of AA wirelessly. These dongles are not that cheap and are a hit and miss based upon reviews shared by users.

Re: Wireless Android Auto for cars without inbuilt WiFi

Motorola just announced the MA1 adapter at CES which should be a standard and stable way to get wireless android auto on cars that come without it.
In particular, should be interesting to see how it works when wireless charging and wireless AA is on together.
