even 222 coupled with coaxials mounted on a tray will give decent bass.

depends what your definition of DECENT bass Is....for most of us.its never enough

I have seen car install with one 222 driving a pair of ovals, ts-20 and a woofer .....but driven at full distortion.......so the 222 is good until a pair of good ovals only....
