Can someone tell me the price of both GTO 5.25" and 6.5"
The thread on Fake JBL wiring kits: http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/produc...iring-kit.html

There is a genuine JBL wiring kit. It is very hard to get, but is of good quality. It runs to about 3K.

GTO607c (6.5" 2-way comps) are about 6.5K with B&W. The GTO 507c (5.25" 2-way comps) are about 5.5K with B&W. The prices he's quoted are pretty low, and the items could be genuine, but they definitely are grey market items. If something goes wrong with them you'll be left ummm... holding the sack.

As mobike pointed out, the Pio price is indeed very low. Hopefully that unit is genuine.

If he's trying to pass-off that wiring kit to you as genuine JBL, and is trying to back up the con with a fake bill, I wouldn't touch those comps or the HU with a ten-foot pole.

If you can get an unused 9856 from a trustworthy friend at that price, go for it. I am using 9856 for more than a month now and I can assure you that it's a great HU. I've used a couple of Pioneer HU's before (One is a 5850 I guess in my M800 ), but this Alpine's a killer.

I had a look at the 6950 in my friend's car who got it for 7,750 without B&W and frankly speaking, I can find a big difference between the 9856 and the 6950. The 6950 has no treble control (even though it has a 7 band G.Eq). When I put the equalizer to flat, I saw the imbalance in the frequencies (the lows and highs are too much, so most of the time my friend uses the "Vocal" preset and it still keeps putting out the extreme frequencies). The Alpine comes with no equalizer but simple bass and treble controls and believe me, I find the balance in Alpine (among the frequencies) to be PERFECT.

PS: This is my personal opinion and something that I have examined by playing the same CD. You may however have a taste that makes you think Pios are better, which I respect. As the gurus always put it, it's better to use one's ears and decide what suits his/her taste.

Cheers!

Hi Supernova!

Here's what you should be paying for these (at least what I know) without bill & warranty

AVH-P6850dvd - Rs 52000
DEQ-P7650 - Not Available in Delhi, not really required unless you're doing a 5.1 surround sound setup
AVG-VDP1 - Rs 20000, if you find one at all
CD-VS33 - Not Available in Delhi
CD-SR90 - Rs 1600 or so IIRC
ND-BC2 - Rs 7000, if you find one at all. Get a cheaper unbranded camera.

Cheers

Hello Gunbir

Thank you for those prices, they have helped me no end, with that I can say that I am nearly ready to start the next step and start getting the car and speakers, That information is coming from another thread also by you. I looks like that I will have to come to when I am ready to buy? But the items that you have not given prices for that are not available in ND how much time would be required if I really wanted them. Yes the system is 5.1 or7.2

@HellCat, not available in India. But available from the Middle-East. Expect to pay about 16-17K if I'm not mistaken. Try posting in the TBHP Marketplace. Maybe you'll find a good deal here in India (from someone who's been using one).

With B&W? Nawwwww. You probably just got a good deal 6500/- is the Max RP.

Which dealer? Sam might be able to confirm if the dealer is a guy who stocks genuine JBL equipment.

The reason for asking is Gunbir thinks Fake bills are also possible

which is why we should insist on a MANUFACTURERS Warranty and mail in the card ourselves (after the dealer has stamped it and included the Serial numbers of the products).

To summarise, you can buy:-
1) Fakes without bill & warranty
2) Fakes with fake bill & warranty
3) Genuine without bill & warranty
4) Genuine with fake bill & warranty
5) Genuine with genuine bill & warranty
Unfortunately, even official dealers sometimes sell fakes.
Internet purchases sometimes come with a seller's warranty, as opposed to a manufacturer's warranty.
Some manufacturers have official internet dealers.
Others, e.g. JL Audio, announce that they have no internet dealers. Their products, nevertheless, are available on the internet.
A fairly intriguing subject!
