Its a good HU for just playing the CDs. I got no issues so far.

Pioneer 2950 MP in Kochi is Rs. 4250; a dealer has promised this with some nameless brand 4 speakers (6x9 + 4 inch dash) for 7.5K.

Confirmed with a few shops, Pio 2950 is for 4k (max). But, 3950 is only a few hundreds more....

Sam, yes - 3250 for 2 pairs - two in the dash and two at the back. They did not seem like ``nameless'' or brand less, just that I did not notice the brand - I started looking at the gyan in this forum after going there. And I may not going for that. I may settle for the dealer install BP Maui with 4 blau speakers, and that is based on the feed back from another thread (Specific to Xeta) on this forum.

But what beats me is this - all audio installers I have met so far insist on this combination. They say, putting speakers in doors causes trouble, without spelling out what it is. But almost everybody on this form says ``front doors and back, forget the dash speakers''. Why this conflict?

And what I want to know is, it is worth putting my foot down and insisting on front door speakers?

Completely agree to this point. I called the main company in delhi and they directed me towards JVC.

Don't be confused lol. The same company distributes both Clarion and JVC. Obviously JVC is a lot easier to sell.
